#14 Randy – Broken Ribs (MNG) #14 Randy – Smashed Knee (NI)
“I learnt a very valuable lesson from this game. Don't stall in T15 of the game unless you are certain that you are safe from a turnover, even if you are worried about the opposition scoring with a 1-turner.
I could have scored a TD to make it 2-1 and left the other team with 1 turn left to score. Instead, I was too worried about the Troll and Goblin 1 turn touchdown combination. I thought that I could set myself up to stall for 1 more turn. Unfortunately a double 1 on a GFI roll cost me the game. My opponent was able to 2d Block my Blodging Sidestep Blitzer who was carrying the ball.
Even after this happened I still had a chance to win the game. However my Witch Elf failed a 3+ Dodge roll (with a reroll) to end the game. I'm mad at myself for not scoring the simple TD in turn 15 but at least I have learned from the experience. I certainly won't make that mistake again!
To rub salt into my wounds, one of my Lineman got SI (Niggling Injury) from the last turn of Orc blocks, which probably wouldn't have happened had I just scored on T15. :-/
