“A brutal match in a must-win situation finds the Black Fire Pass Blitzers pulling an upset win against a team that hasn't lost all season. Handing the Ducks their first loss was no easy task.
The hard hitting human team took to the pitch with a wizard in their employ. Coach Steelthunder, realizing the gravity of the match, had hired a runesmith, who forged a Rune of Might upon the armor of Jak Hammerbert, #58.
The Blitzers and their guarding longbeards took to the pitch and rumbled downfield trying to crack a hole in the Ducks defense. Fouls from Walter Paulus found their mark and soon the Blitzers were down a man. On a break away run, Hara-Kira Davis, #38 was wiped out with a lightning bolt only to be left in position for the Blitzer's star runner, Najeh Davenport to pick up the ball for the first TD score.
The remainder of the first half as well as most of the second half found the Ducks floundering in the wind. On some post-pattern routes, catchers of the Ducks went downfield, with blitzers laying hits. Each time, their Thrower kept fumbling the ball. On at least 2 attempts to score, Yonec "Fancypants" Veev flopped. Rumors of the Black Fire Pass Blitzers having bribed "Fancypants" to throw the game have been unsubstantiated as of yet.
With the ball on the ground once again, and a mad scrum to fight for it, Rookie Blitzer Larry Foot-To-Head, #50, who scored 2 TD's in his debut last match against the Goonies, managed to get to the ball again and rumble forward for the Blitzers' second score.
The loss of #78 Max Starks saddens the team, but he died well in battle. His current injuries no doubt contributed to his demise. In his stead, the team has added a new player who claims he can help the team win more with his talented kicking abilities. He goes by the name of Jeff GReed and will wear #3 on his jersey. Meanwhile, Troll Slayer #99, Keisel the Deisel will sit out next game nursing a leg injury that is currently preventing him from taking to the pitch against the Ministry of Defense.
Mr_Foulscumm played a good match, but lady luck was not with the Delbstadt Ducks in this one. The win puts the Black Fire Pass Blitzers back into contention to advance again to veteran division.”
