“Born to fight, but certainly not born to win, the virgin team of Hillsfar Heathens (HH) suffered their first professional defeat. They had been beaten in a previous amateur game by some goblins but they got their revenge by setting the goblin wagons on fire as they left the city. As it was the methodical power of the undead was pivotal in the defeat. Never one to give up HH threw everything they had at their opponents but sadly it was just not enough.
Blurgin excelled himself and even received a pair of boots donated by an elf after the match. The elf was so distraught at the result (having a pathological hatred of undead) that he gave Blurgin the boots of agility to make sure he could be even more effective in his next match. Blurgin thanked the elf and knocked him out, robbing him of his gold .... bloody stupid elves.
If Lords of Kelemvor don’t receive debilitating injuries to key players then HH can see them go far in the competition. ”
“What a beautiful day for the opening round of the forgotten Realms Tornament, Very sunny, the smell of freshly cut grass and a stadium full of 56000 screaming fans sipping on there Orca Cola & Rum. They all came to see what was sure to be an entertaining match between the Hillsfar Heathens Vs the Lords of Kelemvor.
The Hillsfar Heathens won the toss and elected to recieve. Both teams took to the field and pondered over their game plan. The WISTLE blew, the game had begun.
The first half was a battle for the ball, the (HH)Hilsfar Heathens where first to have the ball but after a successful blitz by a Ghoul named Atala on the dwarven Runner Rygon Warhammer the ball was Atala's
Atala found herself in trouble when pushed to the sideline but managed to dodge out for a pass, the pass was good but the pass was dropped.
HH made another attempt for the ball but to no avail and left the (LOK)Lords of Kelemvor with a good opportunity. Unfortunatley the LOK couldnt take advantage with Westenra, a Ghoul failing to pick up the ball.
A successful turn for HH seen 5 LOK players knocked to the ground and Atala who was standing dangerously close to the sideline was forced into doing a little crowd surfing and ended up in the KO'd box. but the ball was still anyones.
LOK managed to have a successfull round knocking 4 players to the ground stunning 1 but after putting themselves in a good position was still unable to pick up the ball.
Once again after HH sorrounded the ball. LOK was able to block there way into a good position to pick up the ball but failed again! Kelemvor it seemed was watching another game!
HH attempted to go for the ball but Rygon Warhammer was unable to free himself from the Mummies grasp and so, the ball lay there...... Still!
Finally After blocking the HH into the ball it bounced for an easy pickup
Westenra picked up the ball and headed for the endzone, the crowd went wild headbutting each other in fits of joy!
After a few unsucsesfull attempts by HH to reach the ball Carier, a Mummy sending Rygon Warhammer to the Badly Hurt Box, Westenra headed in for the TD!
LOK recieved the kick off in the second half and it looked like it was going to happen all over again, after a few succssesful blocks LOK failed once again to pick up the ball!
HH entered tacklezones trying to prevent LOK from picking up the ball and with a mighty blitz by a Longbeard by the name of Thrum Ironfist saw Kasier, a Wight carried of the pitch to the Badly Hurt box.
Atala then managed to pick up the ball and her team mates quickly sorrounded to protect her, the LOK were setting up something down the left flank.
LOK continued to frustrate HH by getting in talke zones and not allowing them to get anywhere near the ball carrier, With a hand off from Atala to Thalonia , she was off.
Trying to add more points to her tally Westenra signalled she wanted the ball, an unsuccessful handoff seen the ball lay in the endzone at her feet. Lucky for her there were no HH close enough. After a few uneventful blocks by the HH Westenra managed to pick up the ball and score her 2 TD.
Looks like Kelemvor may have been watching this game after all. ”
