“The dwarf offence stalled early on as described by Gabeln. I should probably have positioned more dwarfs closer to the ball, but my worst-case scenario planning did not account for Osric's drunken fumbling after the ball.

Gabeln was able to capitalise on the poor dwarf offence, despite often being a man or two down. His successes made him brash resulting in the death of his best ghoul. The dwarfs were able to rally to some extent and at least had a small chance of scoring the equaliser. A better coach would probably have made more of my situation, but at least the dwarfs didn't suffer any serious injuries and the fans were happy.
