“Fumbbl Cup round 1
A tough game against the famous Macavity. A coach I have longed to play for sometime due to his prevalance in the forums. With a tough Human side giving me two handicaps for this match it was always going to be tough. However once I received the kick and began the slow drive down field bashing all the way, things began to look bleak for Mac as more and more players were sent to the cas box. By the end of the 2nd half only 6 players remained on his side and unable to score again before the final whistle OT was on the cards.
With Mac kicking to me with only 6 players OT looked trivial until he rolled blitz. Some worrying turns then saw the ball secured and by turn 6 Mac no longer had a player left on the pitch. My first proper pitch clearance and my first smiley face... even if I goofed it up a little and ended up lopsided.
Good game Mac and onwards to round 2! WIL FTW”

I enjoyed this game very much, but was out-classed ridiculously by my opponent. I choose that word specifically. Luck was not a large factor either way (well, it was balanced), and I think with two (?) notable exceptions I made the right moves most turns.
However, Xenon did a MUCH better job of building his team, spreading out SPP, and theming his skills. He caged, blocked and kicked his way to huge numbers dominance, and though my player's superior speed allowed us to reverse field on him in the second to get the score (the fact that none of the hobbos or bulls had tackle saved my butt), the numbers told out.
If I'd caught the kick-off on that Blitz, though......
Anyway, best Major loss so far for me! Go Humans!!!!!”
