“The much less experienced Albion Assassins challenged the Guardians to this match. The result was decided when only one of the Guardians many veteran players failed to pass his pre match fitness test - that being the least experienced of the niggled players too.

Despite this the scores were a tight 1-1 at half time when the Assassins stopped the Guardians from scoring a second TD late in the first half. However, two of their players injured themselves dodging!

In the second half, the Assassins started in offence but had the Guardians stealing the ball off them in their own backfield three times to concede 4 second half TDs.

A fun match against a fun opponent. It was going to be very likely to be a strong mismatch due to the huge Str difference, and it turned out that way once only my Kicker niggled.

My opponent also let me off a few times when he a quick snap, not pushing forward for free hits on my bottom wing. Those free two dice hits on my Catcher (on 2-3 occassions) may have made a difference.

But it was a fun game for all in the end, with his Witch Elf making two late passes to get from 14 SPP to 16 after failing all match to score the crucial TD to get her advance hehe.”
