“In an attempt to keep the teams valiant reputation in tact, Tharniar Telluvin marched his team fresh from their blood-drenched mauling at the hands of Inka-something-or-the-other towards a waiting crowd of vampires. In a confusing first half, the vampires of the Bloody Oafs seemed to ignore the blood on the Knights armour preferring the thrall vintage. Taking advantage of the reduced numbers, the new catcher Thurlias threw the ball towards Serenath who kept composure and ran the ball in for a score, though this was to be his last significant action of the game.
On the first drive of the Oafs, a crowd of players gathered around the rising star and one of them (presumably Kanartle though the ref couldn't identify who it was) delivered a boot that knocked him out and left him seeing double for the remainder of the match. Despite some plucky defending, the Oafs took the ball in to have the scores level at half time.
The second half saw the Oafs receive the ball twice, but the first drive was stopped by a brave blitz that knocked the ball to the pitch, where Mathiriel lobbed the ball forward to a waiting lineman. Running forward he handed off to Herllithir who out ran the thralls to the endzone. The second drive saw an impressive display from the oafs who manhandled the 6 remaining knights players for a deserved equalising TD.
The Knights players seemed satisfied with the result, getting back to near full strength for the next match, but their inability to attract new fans does raise concerns over how long the team can keep going.”
