“Fumbbl Cup VI: Round I

Handicaps for CPS: Lots and lots. Nothing especially good though, except Greatest.

Well, what can you say? With 80 TS diff, the question of who was to be victorious was rarely in question, especially with the crappy handis the Orcs got.

First half: Orcs receive. It rains. Things quickly developed to a stalemate, with Words smacking around and the Orcs high AV protecting them from most of the harm. Tangential, Words AG4 Blodge Strip Ball beastman ran forward and blitzed the thrower with the ball, knocking it free. However, due to the rain it was difficult for Words to get hold of the ball, partly because I wanted to use some inexperienced players to score. Mayhem ensued, leading to Tangential getting BH. CPS kept Words from scoring, and the half ended 0-0.

Second half, kickoff is Blitz! that CPS quickly took advantage of. A gobbo bravely ran forward through a gap opened up by a BoB, and caught the ball. He was brought down and the ball retrieved, with some luck from Words. Words then had aa relatively easy way to the endzone, scoring in turn 5.

Last drive, Orcs running down one relatively unprotected side, due to Words being busy fouling CPS blodge-blitzer that they were annoyede with. The gobbo carrying the ball didn't quite make it to safety though, and was brought down by a block (although this also brought down the blitzing beastman, who lacked block. An Orc blitzer failed to pick up the ball, and despite a valiant attempt at a BoB-score, the game was over with victory going to Words.

Thanks for the game Oblitzmanger, it was good fun and nice chat. And also thank you for the compliment in the beginning, calling Words a legendary team :) I'm looking forward to a rematch later on with more equal TR/TS!
