A tough and well played battle!

The Waaa Dakka orcs played a very disciplined cage throughout the first half. Then the highlight of the first half, on turn 8 a Gruntz needed a three to dodge for a TD. He did a faceplant...

Halftime 0-0...

The Jolly Green Gruntz played aggresively, but on receiving the ball in the second half, but forgot to pick it up on turn one. Turned out the ball was greased by some gobbo fans and it was a long time before anyone could pick up the ball. By the beginning of the 4th quarter both coaches were out of RRs and the turns were getting short as block after block failed... After much hitting and chaos, near the end of the second half Grunt Forg had the ball 6 paces from the scoring, and Waaa Dakka needed just on dodge to get away from Mr Bigg and into position to stop the TD. Another faceplant and Forg scores the winning (and only) TD!

Beholden coached an excellent game. I expect his rating will be rising quickly in the near future cuz he is good!

Good Game!

A very even match with very fierce competition!

Waaa Dakka started the first half attempting to grind down their opponents, but the Gruntz, true to their Orc heritage, came away unscathed.

Meanwhile, the Gruntz solid defence managed to free up the ball and get within scoring position. Then as the last seconds of the first half ticked off the clock, the last Waaa Dakka player between the Gruntz and the endzone tripped the ball carrier taking the game into halftime with no score.

The second half seemed like a repetition of the first. The ball barely moved as both coaches judged their blocks carefully in an attempt to get multiple players around the free ball and prevent the opposition from picking it up.

Finally, Waaa Dakka managed to break out of the scrum with the ball. Unfortunately, this was the biggest mistake of the game for the Waaa. It quickly led to a blitz of the ball carrier resulting in the Gruntz picking up the ball and scoring in the last seconds of the game.

This match prooved to be everything Orcs could hope for. There was plenty of hitting, but it was centered around strategic board positioning and slowing of the opposition.

A well played game on both sides and in the end, the Jolly Green Gruntz received a very deserved victory.

Great game Ug!
