“Not a good one for the dwarves, but barely a foot wrong for the humans. Lots of two dice blocking and caging kept the dwarves away from the ball on the opening drive, and then a quick sprint to the endzone for the score. There's nothing like being chased by a grumpy dwarf (little legs pumping, cursing into his beard) to bring out the speed in a player!
What worked for me was grinding out 5 turns for the opening drive (with TD). Then hark had to try and score quickly, which is so hard for dwarves that it makes the defense much easier. To hark's credit, he went for a quick score via passing play again when 1-0 down in an attempt to actually win rather than tie 1-1. This created defensive opportunities, and a fortunate scatter when I blitzed the ball carrier dropped the ball in my lap.
I took this one, but have no doubt that a frontline of guarding longbeards and frenzied mighty blow slayers awaits me next time ...
harkoninuse is not hasudrone (whoever he is!), and is a good sport and a fun opponent. He brings some vicious spectators though, cheering madly for blood and fouls! ”
“A sloppy game from start to finish. Started poorly with a rock stun and a kill of the manlings. From there the human mobility combined with perfect blocking to mean that I really couldn't get in any powerful chain blocks.
The second half again saw some really ineffectual blocking but at least by the end of it my luck had improved a little bit.
Look forward to the rematch, grudge +1...”
