“After their first two games between Stand Firm and the Berek's Boys the Dwarfs won both these meetings with 2-1. For this reason the 1-1 final score was a great disapointment for the dwarfs. Especially when you look at the games statistics, except passing the Dwarfs were all over WoodElfs:

The problem was the amazing kamikaze blitz moves from the Catchers and Wardancers who were able 4 or 5 times to tackle the ballcarrier who was moving in the middle of the pile of rushing dwarfs.
Rurub Goldfighter who scored the equilizer in 8th turn of the 2nd half had a short reaction after the match: "Ghmbbl.. mmmrrggg.. next time... we will get them... Ghmmmmrggg"
Stand Firm hopes the next time they will meet will be a match with over time. They claim they would have won this game if it took 24 turns.

bad kick, bad in the hands of a str 4 dwarf in the middle of the dwarven cage.
threaten it into the hands of a non-sure hands dwarf, leap in with the strip baller for a two dice against block hoping for a push... get a pow/dodge.
recover ball, score, stop three turn dwarven offense.
so far, so good.
Second half.
Forget that I have a competent thrower now, toss to the rookie linemen, try to move him to a safe place among the elves deep into the dwarves half, snake-eye the last gfi, lose the ball to the dwarves.
Helplessly watch them grinding out a tie, smashing elves into the pitch left and right.
At least I managed to kill the rookie lino on a two dice my choice block in my last turn. that'll teach him.
