“Well this was a very strange game. I was hoping it was going to be a recovery match for me. It was 8 vs 11 players to begin with and I would have been happy with a loss provided I didn't get any injuries.

I kicked off to begin the match and copped a few blocks but no armour breaks. The Hawks 2007 used their number advantage well and marched the ball down the field. Their Blitzer got the ball near the end zone and was seemingly well guarded. With a lucky series of rolls I managed to get a 2d Block on him and knocked the ball free. He couldn't take out the 2 players I had next to the ball and I was able to pick it up the next turn and make a pass. Unfortunately my lineman rolled a 1 and a 2 on a 3+ pass and fumbled the ball. The Hawks recoved the ball and took it in for the score. 1-0 down halfway through the first half and things didn't look good.

Things didn't start too well after the restart. I only got 1 knock down on the LOS and the ball was sitting back near my end zone. I sent a couple of players down field in the hope of getting lucky somehow. The next couple of turns saw Kenny badly hurt as I managed to pick the ball up and move it back towards the middle of the field. One of my players got blocked towards the sideline and looked as though he would be pushed out. Then my luck changed.

Nuffle saved me as eo rolled a Double Skull with no rerolls. My player was saved and I saw an opening for a TD. I managed to Blitz a receiver free downfield. Following that a hand-off from my Thrower to my Blitzer left just short pass for the TD. Good rolls allowed me to equalise on T7.

Then something strange happened. After we had set up for the restart my opponent suddenly said (in Spanish) that he had to go the airport and conceded! I was quite shocked but very happy at the same time. Somehow, in a couple of turns I went from 1-0 down to winning the game.

It got better in the post game as I got $150k winning and a FF increase. That combined with only a single BH for the game was a fantastic result. I should now be able to get my team back up to 11 players and things are looking up.
