“The Woodies try to continue their unbeaten start to season XXII but are very wary of the damage they might recieve from this monster team.

The Dead were missing one of their regular mummies so to fill the void they recruited the services of Ramtut III.

Things got of to a smooth start with the Woodies running one of their trademark offences. SDK fired the ball back to Smoker J as the Men of Wood poured downfield. Horse found some space and Smoker J delivered giving the WDD a very quick 1-0 lead.

On Defence and the lads were a little worried it was going to get messy. Luckily the Dead were still warming up to the task and the Woodies managed to dodge away from any real harm. The Big Man was tying up a couple of the Mummies and when Mephisop "The Bloody Hand" tripped over trying to get away from him a huge gap opened up. Crowlockylockville cleared a path to the ball and Philberto ducked in and chucked the pill out wide to Neil George Wallington. With he Undead caught upfield the Woodies managed to set a nice cage around the ball and tried to slwo the clock down before scoring. This almost back fired when some good hits by the Blitz-Ra's put a lot of pressure on the ball carrier. G.I. Leafy was up to the task however and he lunged over the line just in the nick of time. 2-0

With a few seconds left on clock before half time the Big Gay Al took a massive hit from Ya'Dyip. The Woodies Medical team did not try to help him for fear of contracting his Gay AIDS.

On defence again and with a two TD lead the Men of Wood new they just had to stop the Khermi from scoring quickly. Things were going quite well as the Elves managed to avoid any real punishment from the Retribution's big boys and even though they never got a shot at Ikewun who was carrying the ball the had managed to bring the rolling cage to a standtill, or so they thought.
Then there was a huge bang follwed by a blinding flash of light no doubt the result of tear in the space time continuim (whoever thought of building a stadium right next to a nuclear particle accelerator?) The Men of Wood started teleporting around the pitch. Mummies were thorwing blocks at players who kept vanishing in front of their eyes. Amid all this turmoil Ikewun managed to stay calm and cross into the endzone not once but twice.! 2-1

With only a few minutes left in the match and everyone felling a little worse for wear after the timebending last drive. The Woodies played nice and safe to close out the match and continue their unbeaten runin season XXII.

3pts: Ya'Dyip - He was absoluting buzzing this game. Combined good tackling with hard hitting and was the real danger man amongst the Khermi

2pts: Ikewun - Not as effective as in previous matches against the Retribution but deserves his points for staying calm amid the turmoil of the 2nd half

1pt: Ramtut III - Kept the Big Man to only 2 block all game. Did a lot of the hard work for the Deadites but probably did not infilict as much damage as expected.
