“This was a very uphill match, made somewhat enjoyable though since my opponent was man enough to stand for his luck.
The craziest event of the match was the orcs TD in turn 8 of the first half. It involved a succesful 1d block, a dodge away from a tackler and 2 GFI's to place a blitzer on the end zone line, a pickup next to a chaos dwarf, a long throw next to a chaos dwarf, a failed interception attempt and a succesful catch by the blitzer...all without even using a reroll.
But that was not just a single freak incident. The greenskins were lucky in just about everything they did during the match and I'm left quite puzzled how the luck meter could possible, even when being a useless tool to start with, put me as the luckier side.
I wasn't terribly unlucky, but I did tend to roll skulls on 1d blocks while Bob got clean hits...and since I never really noticed more than a handful of missed rolls from the orc side it's a mystery.
The nuffle groin kick to steal an FF in the process hurts even more, but as I said, at least Bob admitted his luck which enabled me to at least not have to leave the match steaming of frustration. Will need a smoke though, hehe.
Thanks for the match! See you around.”
