Nasty Orcs, nasty CDs - and a real tough game to follow.
The first half was a good one for the CDs, pressurizing the Orcs and scoring to make it 1-0 at the half. The only real downside was losing our troll in the very first turn (kill, regen fails), which made the LOS rather weak for the rest (ie: all) of the game.
The second half saw the CDs receive and look to make a 2-0 lead, but the all-powerful Nuffle decided otherwise, with two crucial 1 rr 1s (we like to call them snakes) handing the determined orcs a 1-1 draw at FT.
OT began with the CDs again recieving, and again a fatal 1 rr 1 (BT with a 6st Hnatrk) exposed the ball carrier. Then a skull/skull from the ball carrier on a blitz handed the orcs the ball. Oces score to make it 2-1 in T6 of OT...
All lost? Well, no, as Borat recieves, and scores at the death to make it 2-2.
However, the Orcs win the coin toss, which pretty much summed up the dice all day.
Gratz, maxbib, well played and GL in Rd5.
Tournament summary for China Rises?
Well, Rd 1 was a cakewalk vs some underpowered humans, but we're pretty happy with our Rd2 and 3 results vs some damn good teams and coaches (esp the win over Rij's Orcs). Going out to crap dice and a coin toss in Rd4 is a little dissapointing, but we held out own vs a pwoerful orc team and with a bit more luck might have won it in regulation time. Overall, not a bad effort by China Rising, although next time we'll make sure to take more cash into the tournament, as only 11ok was far too little givien the cost of Hntark. Thanks to all my opponents and to the Admins for a fun torunament.”
