“Thinking about this game in hindsight I am not entirely sure concession was the right thing to do. At the time it seemed to be the only solution. My luck was rotten, my guys were getting bashed badly and my apo was used early. Before the game I had a conversation with a friend who told me it was unwise to join Smacks with a team based on a passing style, as they were full of teamdestroying bashers full of dirty players. So I panicked in this game and probably threw in the towel somewhat prematurely. My opponent was a nice guy and certainly seemed focused on winning rather than teamdestroying, but weeks of frustration over bad luck and constantly running into frontloaders and/or bashy teams in tournaments tipped me over the edge. Best of luck to my opponent in his next game, and to his future opponent as well. I think in the end the extra cash my opponent got is outweighed by the cas and td spp he didn't get - and would most likely have gotten from being able to knock around a decimated human team with a bunch of MB mummies. The really bizarre part of all this, is that in my panic I forget that a concession would cost me my star blitzer. So I might end up retiring my team that I did a probaly doubtful concession to save. Nuffle can be a bitch sometimes. Gotta get more parrots and more bashy teams for tourneys.”
I received and proceeded to bash the humans up a bit... With a number of KO's, and with 2 early unpunished fouls resulting in a BH and RIP (and the use of the human apoth) and my thrower stalling around turn 6/7, and the dice doing him no favours either, I think the human coach decided to throw in the towel to save his team...
No idea if conceeding is frowned upon in a smack, but I wish PederP better luck next game.
