“Well this was an interesting game. The Zodiac won the toss and chose to receive first, the kickoff rewarded the Risen with a perfect defense. The ball placement unfortuanely was right in the middle of the pitch so we could not put enough pressure on side or the other. The Zodiac used a re-roll early and got a blocker down on the 3rd block of the first drive. The Risen used this unfortuane roll to push the left flank and rush the ball carrier, but we over extended and left the right flank open. The Zodiac then picked up the ball and made a pass to move the ball to midfield then attempted a handoff, which failed... twice. The Risen attempted to move back into position but it was too little too late and the Zodiac scored on turn 4. The kickoff gave the Risen an unexpected advantage, with the sweltering heat the Zodiacs +ST skele and 2 other players to miss the drive giving a numbers advantage of 11-10 and also giving me the Risen an advantage in ST with 2 +ST skeles. The Risen moved quickly with a KO and a couple of SI(both regen'd) and scored the game tying TD on turn 8.

The Second half saw a similar result with the heat, 11-11 but the Zodiac regained their +ST skele. The Kickoff also yielded a PD for the Zodiac, but they were also unable to capitalize on it. With a couple of re-rolls used on failed GFI's the Zodiac were forced to end a few turns early with Skulls and Block/Skulls, Thus giving the Risen the oppurtunity to break thru and get across midfield. Turn 5 for the Zodiac turned out to be the pivital turn, they had an oppurtunity to blitz the ball carrier with a 1d block, but failed the GFI.. re-rolled and rolled a SKULL.. bam.. stunned. The Risen then moved into position to block any other would-be opposition and stalled the final 3 turns to make the winning TD.

The luck % does not accurately reflect this match.. The Risen made all but a couple of the pivital rolls needed to come from behind, while almost everyone of the Zodiacs ended in failure of some kind. A well played match besides that and a very good coach. We were lucky to win and are thankful for it. The Risen wish the Zodiac the best of luck.
