Here is the post-game press conference.

Press: Coach Kyyberi, what happened today?

Coach Kyyberi: Well, I wonder that myself. But as you all saw, we lost a tight ballgame.

Press: Bulldogs have been #1 since the beginning, and this week Florida was #8. How big was this loss?

Coach Kyyberi: Definitely a big one. Our plan was to win both Florida and BC, so that a tie would be enough from the last game. This ruins our plans.

Press: Can you give any reasons for this loss?

Coach Kyyberi: Well, it seems to me that all the little things banged up on us today. Like having our best Wight in injured reserves for the game, Werewolves were arquing through the game, playmaker Ghoul was suffering from mild concussion...

Press: What about the...(interrupted)

Coach Kyyberi: And I know that this might get me in to trouble, but that referee was something today. He is sitting there right next to NBFL bodyguards, why don't you ask him about that chainsaw?!!!

Press: Referee McBlind, how do you respond to that?

Referee McBlind: Um... I have no clue of what Coach Kyyberi is saying. He came to me many times during the game, and shouted about chainsaw or something. That offends my pride as a referee. If there would have been a chainsaw in the game, I am sure I would have seen it and sent it off. Funny thing that it's always the losing coach who is blaming the referee...

Press: Coach Kyyberi, was that ref the reason you lost the game?

Coach Kyyberi: No. But it sure helped a lot. When there's a chainsaw lunatic in the field, I have to think about my player's safety.

Press: You also did a foul or two in the game, but ref missed those. What about that?

Coach Kyyberi: Fouls? Come on, we are #1 team and all the eyes are on us. Would we risk the national bowl by making illegal things in the field? Gimme a break...

Press: Um... Ok. Are you happy with your playing today? Or was there some big mistakes?

Coach Kyyberi: There was only one big mistake, in the end of the first half. Just few seconds to go, our players forgot to go near the endzone to be able to score if we manage to get the ball. We did get the ball, but it was too late to react to it then. 1-0 lead in half time would have been a huge thing. Now it was 0-0.

Press: Your defense has been remarkably good this season. Only few scored made against. Out of the 4 td's against, 3 of them has been made by a Goblin. How come?

Coach Kyyberi: Today both scores were lightning fast with throwed goblin. That tactic rarely works, today it worked perfectly twice. Our defensive coordinator thought about it, but to position players to prevent that tossing score would weaken the midfield too much. It's always a gamble to throw goblins, this time it pulled off.

Press: In the final minute, it looked like a certain tying score for you. But that pass never happened. There has been rumours about bribery and fixed result...

Coach Kyyberi: As I said before, that Ghoul was suffering from a mild concussion. He told me that just as he was about to make the pass, he had a terrible headache and couldn't see anything. And then the game ended. Our medical staff will check this up, and if it turns out that he did that on purpose he will be eaten alive.

#7 Janes Smith – Dead (RIP)
SEC Conference Round 1:

The oddsmakers had Florida as at least a 2 TD underdog...however, that just provided good motivational material...and the trolls whom often fail at the critical time worked extra hard this week.

In the first half, the Bulldogs received the ball and started to push upfield. Nobbla brought his chainsaw...but in the scorching heat, he could not get it to start. A early turnover then gave the Bulldogs more opportunity to move the ball forward. They had the opportunity to score...and their coach was confidently talking about it...but instead he took the opportunity for a foul on a downed troll. The ref missed the boot...but then the Gators got busy - the ball was dislodged and it bounced free - a scamble for the ball ensued and Florida grabbed it and sprinted downfield. It looked like a miracle defensive touchdown...Bulldogs were out of team RRs...and needed several blocks (inlcuding some 1d blocks) to somewhat free a werewolf who still needed to dodge and then gfi twice to get a blitz off. However, the Bulldogs are not undefeated for no reason and they pulled off the amazing play to nail the goblin for a stun. Still, the goblins again got the ball and again just needed 1 mistake by the werewolf, but it dodged without a problem and again smacked the goblin and grabbed the ball. Both sides went to the locker rooms disappointed...the Bulldogs wasted the opportunity to score and Florida missed the chance for a 1-0 lead and a chance to go for 2-0 to start the second half.

With CAS piling up, Florida went with the risky TTM play. Andre Caldwell landed it after the RR and with his sure feet - scored to go up 1-0. Now the Bulldogs were on the ropes, then needed to score twice and injury time shortened the game to 7 turns for them. They pushed forward, and the Gators had opportunities, but failed every attempt - although they did slow down Fresh Tasty for at least a turn more than they wanted. However, the score happened, and now Florida was uncertain of what to do...however, a bad kick gave the ball to Caldwell again...and with a screen of goblins pushing foward incase the TTM attempt was fumbled...toss....land....SCORE! Up 2-1, the Bulldogs now were intent on just getting the draw to avoid the embarassing upset...however, the boneheaded ghoul ended the game by staring around blankly.

Both sides made some great plays and both sides messed up easy plays - but in the end the goblins are victors and give many teams new optimism for reaching the national title game.
