“An excellent game which saw Kazraks narrowly escape with a draw.

Despite an amazing (And very lucky!) start which saw Smootchie the Norse Minotaur badly hurt by Grimjaw Bonebreaker in the second turn, the beastmen were unable to capitalise. Enraged by the loss of their minotaur, the Norse steamed into the chaos team, inflicting a plethora of injuries and knockdowns, quickly scoring two touchdowns. The crowd joined in, twice throwing a rock at Hurgred the beastman who luckily proved to have a thick skull, being merely stunned both times. They also badly hurt Gordreg, Kazraks team captain who was 1 SPP away from his first skill! The fickle gods of chaos kick us in the nadgers again...

Chaos smiled on us in the second half though as Kazraks settled down and relative armour values seemed to return to normal. Norse players started to go down and Orothils decision not to use his apothecary on his Minotaur was vindicated when his star thrower was killed but revived. Chaos smashed their way down the sideline to score on turn 4 of the second half, leaving a trail of badly hurt and unconcious Norse behind them. With 4 players badly hurt, 2 unconcious and 2 niggled, the Norse just couldn't keep Kazraks out despite a heroic attempt. The touchdown had to be scored by running a beastman into the endzone and throwing, as a handful of Norse valiantly held up a veritable horde of Beastmen, but scored it was on the last Kazraks turn to scrape a 2-2 draw.

Thanks to Orothil for a great game and respect for some excellent coaching. Despite fielding 6 against 10 towards the end of the second half, I still couldn't beat him!

Man of the Match definitely goes to Grimjaw who has proved to be a powerhouse up front and got his third casualty in this match. Having learnt the finer points of block, he is now practicing his tackling and will soon be an unstoppable force on the line of scrimmage!”
