Star Wars - Round 2:

Jedi Kit Fisto mourned the injury to he dear partner and with 3 clone troopers down with injury, he took only 6 troopers onto the pitch with him. However, he played an amazing game to steal the show. The fans wanted blood and got the ref in the first half...for both teams...the more numerous Hoth were able to foul more often. However, it was brutal game with one of the sith badly hurt on the first turn and another KOed. The KOs continued and Kit Fisto soon scored to make it 1-0.

The next kickoff was 6 for the Jedi (1 was BH), and 9 for the Sith (1 BH, 1 KO), however, Kit again showed off his amazing speed and agility darting past the lines to grab a loose ball and score again - making it 2-0.

With time winding down the Sith took their revenge - niggling a clone trooper if not for the quick medic action...another BH followed and a score on T8 to make it 2-1 and Hoth was set to receive the second half kickoff.

The second half was brutal as well...soon, it was 4 vs 8...Kit stole the ball, but was dropped by a 2d blitz and stunned. The ball was quickly moved upfield, but the clone trooper managed a 2d blitz to knockdown General Veers and a few failed pickups and the game was essentially over. The evil Sith fouled for a BH as their last action and Kit returned the favor with a bonecrushing hit that badly hurt Mara Jade.

Also of note - at the end of the game in a critical situation ST:08 N[Trooper] double skulled for a turnover...rumor has it that he did not make it out of the locker room alive!

The Ryoth scum took to the field with only one Jedi and 6 clones. The Hoth Assault Force had a strong full squad.

The Ryoth chose to receive first. The half started with both teams storming the pitch and tearing the referee apart. As the match-log droids will tell you, the HAF took maximum advantage of this, but were unable to cause any permanent damage to the Ryoth.

The Ryoth on the other hand felt like upgraded battle droids! Their first three blocks ko'ed one HAF trooper and bh another. Followed by another ko on a foul. The Rebels scored shortly after.

The HAF now received, and the Ryoth scored a perfect defense, getting them out of some blocking situations. But the HAF still managed to throw some tackles, resulting in a ko. The Ryoth responded by another ko on the HAF. Now it was 7 HAF vs 6 Ryoth.

Note to self: replace the armor technicians back at base.

The Ryoth were able to put pressure on the HAF ballholder and eventually score for a 2-0 lead at end of first half.

The Jedi continued to be as great a nuisance as could be expected, repeatedly throwing 1db pows on our ballholder. Halfway through second half the HAF managed to score for 1-2 with only five Ryoth left on field.

On the next kickoff the Ryoth were back at 6 players and the HAF managed to take down the ballcarrying Jedi. Soon followed by a sturdy boot to the Jedi privates, alas only a stun result. Advancing up the field it looked like the HAF were in for a sure score, but once again the Jedi managed a 1db pow on the ballholder.

On the next last turn the HAF made a fatal mistake by only leaving one trooper in range of scoring. The Ryoth capitalized by knocking him down, sealing the 2-1 win for the Jedi scum.

Mara Jades supplemental report to Coruscant:
"Trooper ST:08N showed such incompetence in the line of duty that he had to be disposed of. As a warning to others I took the liberty of making it a painful death. He was found dead in the locker room after the match, eyes popping out of his head and a silent scream on his face. I made him suffer. I was not seen. No one suspects anything. //End Report

-------------

Azure played well and capitalized on my extremely poor ball handling ability. Despite the HAF having 5 rerolls vs the Ryoths 1, it felt the other way around. A battle I thought the HAF would steamroll over the Ryoth was instead lost. The HAFs papier maché armor in the first half only made things more frustrating.

Apart from the loss it was extremely irking to see such little damage to the Ryoth despite excessive fouling.

Next time Jedi scum!
