“The game was mostly decided by the elves running out of players. They were a player short coming in, and before the game had even started a niggling injury and the "It wasn't me" handicap took out Forjal and Ra-Hel respectively. The legendary Touchstone was hit by a rock from the crowd on the second drive and never woke up.
In the first half, neither team could stop the other from scoring and it went to 2-2.
In the second half, the lizards finally managed to get the ball away from One-Eyed-Fox and ran away with it. As well as scoring, they finally got some casualties, and after that there simply wasn't enough wood elves on the field to take the game back.
Twahnlows:
3: Hua Xhen - Movement 10 and diving tackle made it impossible to run out of range, even with the skink's speed - although in the end some good dodging from the skinks meant it didn't help.
2: One-Eyed-Fox - Very hard to get the ball off in the first half, danced around attempts to knock him over in the line of scrimmage and, thanks to shadowing, never let a player dodge away from him. Deserves credit for the Cas on Ygl'ath, who was injured trying to dodge away.
1: Dace - Leaping wherever he liked and being able to strip the ball from anyone made it impossible to cage the ball up. Made a beautiful run around my whole team to tie up Da-Ubh on the last drive.”
