#5 Shard – Smashed Collar Bone (-ST)
#8 Dixie Chicks – Smashed Hip (-MA)
Round 7, a most important match for Torturer’s Picnic, who were fighting to ensure no last minute upset in their quest to making it to the Premier big time. Skye’s Tainted were virtually assured progression, but were still looking to bash some Elves, for old times sake and the fact that these two teams might go head to head again soon.

A wizard and new Witch Elf were bought in preparation for the game. In addition, a large sum of money was ‘donated’ to a local Guild of Thieves. In return, Springvale Pork Rolls was implicated in a spate of burglaries and was promptly imprisoned by the local watch.

The kick, and the elves pushed forward slowly, taking the time to hit as many beasts and warriors as they could. A brace of KOs assisted the elves offence, and Skye’s Tainted had an awful run of luck. Few armour breaks and some bad GFI results ensured the Elves pressed on. Despite a mis-throw, we were able to recover and score on turn 7, with three opposing players staying knocked out. Comfy Chair managed to RIP a beast all by himself and things were definitely one sided.

Then Stalker Hound had to be saved after Master Rorious put his fist through the Elf’s skull. With no more injuries in the first half, it was 1-0, with neither of us having an apoth.

Joe suffered from a terrible KO roll, with all three players staying unconscious. He tried to move forward as best he could, but there were too many elves. I forgot to use my Wizard, but didn’t really need to, sacking the ball carrier and getting it out to start a slow advance again. This time, Joe got a few better blocks, KO’ing some elves and ripping Dixie Chick’s leg out of its socket. She’ll be back the game after next, but won’t be as spry as before.

Now, the Elves didn’t like seeing some of their finest carried off the field in a bad way, so they got out their fouling shoes. Master Rorious was first to get trodden on, and will miss the next game. Unfortunately, our DP got a punctured lung from Allied Bakeries….but not before hitting Master Lucious in the groin. He’ll be out for the next game too.

With so few players on the field, Joe couldn’t do much and we crept over the touchline. (despite some valiant attempts to stop us)

Joe set up and began passing to get some consolation SPP. We got to use our Wizard which didn’t do much and the game ended 2-0 for the Picnic.

Bad luck Joe, would have been very frustrating to watch those rolls. Best of luck next season, where I will see you in Premier!

Votes

#3 - Master Lucius – always a threat, nasty big Warrior with attitude.

#2 - Allied Bakeries – Really worked hard to trap those Elves and did a great number on Shard.

#1 - Master Rorius – the other big-play Warrior. Pity about the ageing.
