“A severely under strengthed Real team turned up to face old rivals the Bristol Reavers who looked to be in their best shape to date. With star Wight, and Mummy missing the game and left with a rookie Mummy to hold the defence, expectations to win had given way to survival instinct, and self preservation was paramount.
Real received first and tried to move down a flank. The move however was stopped short by a nice Kick to the opposite flank and butter fingered Díaz de Cerio who spilt the ball for a team mate recovery on the bounce. The Orcs wasted no time in swarming the ball carrier, and a hefty, tackle-less, blow KO’d the blodge Ghoul. Some fancy work by the teams Ghouls managed a recovery and broke to the opposite flank. A fully stretched rookie BO however put pay to the move… would blodge ever work?
A small melee ensued that lead to aspiring Wight, Carlos Martinex, being thrown into the crowd with successive pushes, and of course being torn apart. Not only were Real destined to lose this game, but they had already failed to preserve the few key players that remained.
Real now lost interest in the ball and elected to go on the damage limitation charge, targeting any might blow players and the Reavers DPs… the first of which, David Hillier, was fouled into the BH box. A late Orc score put the Reavers ahead 1 – 0.
The second half and Real decided that drastic measures needed to be taken, so they hacked off the Referees head! The likelihood of stopping the Green Skin change was slim at best, and so Real set about to removing anyone that could hurt their players, Blitzers, BOs and of course the Reavers remaining DP.
The Duke was fouled into the KO box, but still the Orcs pressed on, changing tact and making for the opposite flank. Arturo was introduced to the SI box without regeneration… making for a staggering record of 6 straight SI+ injuries without regeneration. Angered, Real hit back, Badly Hurting a black Orc and fouling Reavers DP into the KO box… The Orcs took their time to hand the ball off to a BO and take full advantage of the space they had been afforded but with boots flying in opted not to leave their Orcs for too long and settle the game at 2 - 0.
Real had one last chance to salvage some dignity, but alas a poor performance by Diaz and another failed attempt to pick up a nice Reavers kick left them exposed and the agile Orcs another opportunity to score. The only redemption coming from the squished skull of a Gobbo at the hands of Count Woland. 3 – 0
Reavers had cemented Real’s worst defeat of their career and hammered in another nail with the death of their uninjured Wight.
With only a 20K purse, still Real lack the resource to buy the additional Ghoul and Wight, or replace their niggled Mummy or Wight… the injury crisis continues and some much needed R&R may be taken in the Championship next season.

In honesty, save for the Kill I’d have been happy with that result. I never expected to win and two CAS was great (Or would otherwise have been).
Goff left me in no fit state to win this game, effectively handing his title rivals 3pts. Pythrr either played smart to try and leave us in shape to upset his potential rivals or took pity on us as I got the feeling he went easy on us with only 1 foul; despite me fouling anything with a damage modifier or block capability.
Pythrr capitalised very well though by skilling up a BOB and getting what could be a very important +3TD.
I’m backing the Orcs for a Premiership win this season. Well played Pythrr and thanks for making it an enjoyable game despite being rather one sided.
