Houston's defensive had been working hard and they showed it in the first half of the game. Kicking off to Copenhagen, the ball was near the sidelines and the beastmen could not quite pick it up. In a flash, Blinky was there and grabbed the ball. On T2, it was 1-0 Houston.
Kicking off again, this time the minotaur caused a turnover, so the ball was still on the ground...Blinky was off - leaping away...on T4, it was 2-0 Houston.
Kicking off again...the beastmen surrounded the ball and attempted to pickup and throw for a skill...the ball was fumbled...on T6, it was 3-0 Houston.
Kicking off again...the beastmen had the ball...briefly...on T8, it was 4-0 Houston.
The second half started with Houston on offense...and while the defense had practiced very well...the offense was horrid. The ball was turned over and attempts to have someone *other* than a gutter runner score lead to a turnover and the ball went back and forth a lot...afterwards, the media was critical of Houston's coach for he benched Blinky on offense, saying the team captain needed a rest and wanted to give the second string more experience. In the end, Copenhagen scored on T15 to make it 4-1 and the clock ran out on the game. A perfect first half followed by a lackluster second half. All 5 TDs scored on defense...so should it be considered a defensive struggle?
Thanks for the game!”
