#1 Hehaka Sapa – Smashed Knee (NI)
Dwarven special teams won this match. The Woodies never went first on a kickoff until turn 8 of the end of the game. The ref, noticing the clock was progressed too much turned the clock back. Anog Ite, surpised by the ref's adjustment failed his assisted block and ruined any chance of a tying score.

Other missed opportunities...
Tatanka Iyotaka missed a reasonably easy pass to a wide open Tintonyanyan on turn 6 of the fist half. The ball was scooped up by Bokata Redminer who had to sprint 3 paces to avoid the woodies and score.

A missstep by Ictinike in turn 5 placed him next to a slayer instead of on the ball, preventing the go ahead score.

Before Bugman's team realized the game had started, the elves had already scored. Once that was over with, it was down to the nitty gritty. From that point forward, Ioro Goblinfighter kept the ale flowing while the team kept the elf blood gushing.

Despite an amazing feat of godlike agility, grace, and pin point accuracy at blitzing the ball carrier in both halves... it seemed as if nothing could penetrate the dwarven plate. The ball was recovered every time, and the team pressed forward throwing nearly 3 hits to every one received. It was just a matter of time, and patience.

If it was not for a for an unreal burst of speed in the final drive of the first half, and the top of darf helm catching the wardancers foot while he tried leaping over the offensive line yet again, the game would have easily been a tie or a loss.

Just enough luck at the right times saved the day for the dwarven brothers and despite some additional time being allotted to the clock for cleaning up the gory details and giving the elves one last chance to tie the game... in the end, Nuffle smiled upon the stubborn, somewhat comical looking, drunkards with a very narrow hard-fought victory.
