In retrospect, trying to farm spp's for my flesh golem probably cost me the match. Made one big mistake, after the golem lost the ball, managed to blitz and pick it up with the good werewolf, but without a reroll decided against a go for it to get him totally out of danger of anything besides a one die block. Instead, a chainpush got a BOB next to him and he got the pow he needed. Anyway, fun match, fun opponent, hope to play you in the future (not for revenge either)

#8 Orna Mental – Broken Ribs (MNG)

#12 Ortho Dontist – Smashed Knee (NI)
#13 Onck Ologizt – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#13 Onck Ologizt – Smashed Knee (NI)
Knew this would be a rough game, but I had no idea.

Kicking off to the Necros results in a badkick, which he gives to his Flesh Golem. Turn one had a KO and the Orc's first SI, a smashed collar bone (-st) to Lineorc Orna Mental. He's got dauntless already so not too bad, plus line orcs are cheap. I dont apoth and think to myself I'll worry about him later. Turn two, another SI smashed hand (niggle) to Black Orc Blocker Onk Ologist. He's my wacky BoB with the -AV and the +AG anyway, so again, no apoth and no worries really...although this is starting to get pricey.

At this point, I'm beginning to note something I should have seen early: those werewolves are BADASS--stay away or get em out. Well, good news I suppose that I force a turn over and head on down the upper sideline, but before scoring, he's got another Black Orc down (Ortho Dontist) and fouls with his DP. Another smashed hand niggle! I almost apothed at this point, but this BoB's got no skills. Still now Im facing $210k (80k+80k+50k) in replacement players! And those werewolves are still out there. Saved my apoth again. The Orcs may have to live with these niggles for a while. The good news is that the Orcs score, but its definately a costly TD.

Kicking off to him in turn 6 and the Orcs are definately riled up--they blitz! This disrupts the offense enough to not have to worry about the score. Of note, with all the KOs and SI goblin Oliver Klothezoff is in the game, and he dodges through traffic to foul Werewolf Wolfgang II and BH's him!(with only one assist no less). One down one to go. The orcs manage to KO the other werewolf and the second half is looking a bit more friendly if that thing stays down. Luckily JigerJones is an understanding coach...he knows its just self preservation at this point.

In the 2nd half Wolfgang I stays KOed (thank you Nuffle) and the Orcs receive the kick and set up a nice cage going down bottom. The Necros set up a better sideline D though and the Orcs have to switch-field back to a middle attack. Even without Werewolves, though, he's still going strong, KO'ing another Black Orc. The Necros had some poor luck throughout (more pushes than I have ever seen). But even the pushes ran out and in T3 the Necros try to blitz Omni, the ball carrier, and reroll their pushes for a skull/block-skull instead. Ow. In T5 Omni scores.

Kicking off again, Wolfgang I is back and looks pissed. The Orcs play DEEP D to avoid cases and the line holds up to a massive barrage--each one still on their feet. (yes, more pushes for the Necros). The kick bounced into the endzone, and complicating matters, the Necros fail to pick it up. I had moved Odius Maximus (Ogre) down the line and he was a tad exposed. With the ball so far away, he proved too tempting a target for the bloodthirsty Werewolf and he goes for another cas--missing narrowly. The ball is just too deep without the MA9/AG4 Werewolf actively involved in the ball handling and the game ends 2-0.
----
It was a great game with a talented coach. Hindsight being 20-20 I wasted the apoth, but I had this slightly disturbing precognition of my Ogre going down in H2T7--not that he's worth a dang...he boneheaded the whole game. Anyway, JigerJones mentioned a rematch, but his 9448 Werewolf is to be feared and should be closely monitored! ;-)
