#3 Geirmund Glacier – Dead (RIP) #11 Bram Fjordson – Dead (RIP)
“Well, even knowing the future doesn't prevent it sometimes. Coach Ryce did some research and knew the amazonians would come at him and foul his team into submission if they could. It was kill or be killed.
Ryce was simply outclassed from the kick-off. Azure trimmed his team to pick up the 'buzzing' handicap. The heroic Glacier was able to take out that player before she could do any damage. Glacier then niggled the fouler after she had fouled out Odinson. For a brief moment, it looked as though the norse might be able to make a decent showing. But hope fell as Azure would bring the dirty player back and who would kill Glacier with a foul. I guess he fouled the doc too... the apo failed.
Down to nine players and no reserves, it was a beatdown. The amazons continued to foul Vice, the remaining st 4 blitzer, but somehow only managed to knock him out several times. Most of the norse players were cleared from the field and for the second game in a row, a brand new lineman was killed.
So Icy Black Hand continues to struggle to try and fill out its roster. If it cannot, the expect more of this kind of loss. Get ready to deal with these amazons, veteran. ”
“A matchup of two teams both looking at a possible run at the division title. It started all in favor of the norse. With several ST 4 players - and ones that had guard, they based and Geirmund Glacier smashed Pocahontas and would have niggled Meg as well, if not for quick work by the apothecary. However, the coach gave the word and Meg went to work in her dirty, but brutally effective way yet again. Soon, a ST 4 norse catcher was badly hurt...a bit later revenge was had with considerable interest when Geirmund Glacier - the ST 4 blitzer was killed by a foul and so fatal that the apothecary could do nothing. The norse fouled back, so Meg continued to foul - her favorite target was the last remaining ST 4 norse - 3 times he was KOed, but each time he came back.
With the norse driving the length of the field to go up 1-0...the fouls encouraged them to score rather than stall, and enough time remained to tie it up 1-1 before halftime. To start the second half, the girls went down the field for the 2-1 lead and when they scored only 2 norse were left on the field. Plenty of time remained and the amazons scored again and then on T15 had a chance to grab the ball and head down for a 4th score...but a failed dodge stopped that chance...perhaps frustrated, the norse crowd surfed some girls...the girls returned the favor on T16, but no harm came of any of it.
Overall, the norse were much more skilled and powerful than the amazons, but had no depth, so once the girls got dirty, the short bench doomed the norse to lose this game. Good game and good luck getting promotion!”
