“After a little break from Fumbbl it's always nice to be welcomed back by the clenched fist of the ol' bastard Nuffle. This wasn't a dice rape by any means, but if you are stupid enough to believe that the luck meter is an accurate tool I can tell you it is not.
First half was a lingering Christmas gift for Spyrer. He ravaged by teams with probably a 95 % success rate on blocks which quickly put my stand firm bob and the troll (unregened of course) in the BH box and left me with a bunch of stuns scattered across the pitch. Somehow I managed to stall his advance though and a turn 7 double skull by the troll foiled Spyrer's chances to score. The troll was the only chaos player that had a really lousy day. As for the greenskins the blocking game was just dismal. Oddly enough my 1d blocks worked better than my 2d blocks.
In the 2nd half I could field 11 players, but with no reserves that meant a bunch of unskilled orcs and my goblin that lacked his troll catapult. Despite that, and my inability to block, and my throwers inability to pick the ball up, I was very close to scoring. A double failed catch was what stopped me. Instead the chaos team mounted a counter attack and through some heroic dodging managed to score. During this attempt I got my blocking game in order though and put 2 SI's on Spyrer's beastmen.
The TD left me with 3 turns to tie the match. The attempt ended in a way that was very symbolic for the entire match. I risked a 1 GFI supported 1d block to simply move a chaos warrior away to have a clear pass at my blitzer. It ended up with the failed GFI stealing the reroll and then I rolled a skull.
Nuffle didn't stop torturing me after the match either though. 10k in payment and an age niggle on my star player black orc was his idea of a late christmas gift.
Thanks for the match, Spyrer! If you fire that troll I'm sure he'll find his way into one of my teams ;) ”
