The Lightnings kicked off, and Checche (not sure what the team name means, but that looks like it might make sense) rapidly made progress down the Lightnings' flank. However, the lure of trying to reduce the already depleted Lightnings further proved too strong, and Gabriela delayed a turn to force a Linerat into the crowd. This allowed the Lightnings to take her down, releasing the ball, and from there the Lightnings secured the first touchdown of the game, pausing only to put the boot into the downed Wardancer.

The next kick-off produced a fairly regulation 2-turn touchdown from Checche. A swift push down a flank left them in a strong position, and the Lightnings were unable to apply sufficient pressure to stop the touchdown.

The second half started with a major brawl that left several Checche players lying injured by the side of the pitch. With only 4 opposing players on the pitch, the touchdown was a formality for the Lightnings. Another touchdown followed from an abortive Checche attack, and the Lightnings were left with a relatively comfortable win.”
