Surprisingly one-sided, given the Lightnings got a handicap in their favour. The luck was certainly on their side though, which did help.

The Stinkers kicked off, which triggered an enormous pitch invasion, leaving all but four of the Stinkers on the ground. Going for blood, the Lightnings set about the remaining Stinkers, but failed to make any significant hits. This delayed their offence, and enabled the Stinkers to make the Lightnings touchdown much harder than than it had to be. Still, despite this, the touchdown came on the third turn, Peaches handing the ball to Fred the Mutant to score.

On the next drive, the Stinkers attacked in force on one flank, but a deep kick meant that the ball wasn't actually anywhere near the attacking players. Next turn saw Quicktail holding the ball and protected by a wall of players a short distance into the Lightnings' half, but that wall proved to be weaker than appearances would suggest, as Darktan found a gap and exploited it to strip the ball out of the Gutter Runner's paws. Peaches moved in to scoop up the loose ball, but missed the pickup, distracted Quicktail's the foul visage! The ball fell to Quicktail, who missed her own catch, knocking it back to Peaches, who missed again, knocking it back to Quicktail... let's just say that Peaches wound up with the ball after both players had spent some considerable time juggling it from one to the other.

The Sitnkers were able to swiftly recover the ball, and came within an ace of toucbing the ball down, a fumbled pass being the only error made. By that point, the Lightnings can gained the upper hand in the background brawl, and swamped the ball with numbers to secure possession. The Stinkers made a final attempt to snatch possession, but it didn't work out and the Lightnings found no problem in quickly moving the ball up the pitch for a turn 8 touchdown.

From that point on, the match shifted in favour of the Lightnings, as the Stinkers' numbers had been depleted to only 8 by the earlier combat. This enabled the Lightnings to run in two more touchdowns in the second half.

4-0 was perhaps flattering to the Lightnings, as Nuffle had been on their side for much of the match. The Stinkers' expensive second drive was the point where the match turned from competetive to one-sided, as the Lightnings numerical superiority proved to be pivotal in the second half.

Nice match report!
Your team was so much better developed to deal with skaven than mine: that DT, PH gutter to stop my gutters and MB SW and DP to get the upper hand in numbers. My FA, PB gutter, normally excellent at disturbing passing plays, did not matter here.

Well played - rematch one day.
