“The 2nd half: i couldn't stop his blitzers so i just wanted to survive. When YOU WANT TO DESTROY A TEAM YOU DON'T DO ONLY 4 FOULS AND YOU FOUL IN THE TURN8!so i'm not bad i just wanted to save my team.”
The 1st half was a standard affair, Gorgrims Guarded up team made life difficult for me to get 2 dice.
then towards the end of the 2nd half, I had the ball safe for the essential equaliser, but my frenzied BOB took a dirtnap. And my apoth failed! My recent luck has been all bad, and I thought great, now I'm in trouble.
the 2nd half I recieved and Gorgrim got a PERFECT DEFENSE! I was in a world of trouble now, having lined up mainly on the LOS. But to my suprise he set up at the bottom half of the field, leaving my accurate/strong arm thrower and my AG4/MV7 blitzer free to do their thing.
Having got the ball safe, I stalled for the win. And Gorgrim made no attempt whatsoever to stop me stalling. I found this strange from a 160+ CR coach. How the hell do some players reach that level? Is it luck? Gorgrim could have easily made me score and pushed for the equaliser. But he chose to target + destroy my top boys instead.
Now I know a bit about kicking teams in and target + Destroy, but even I wouldnt have done it with the WO days away, and my opponent already having lost a top player to a failed apoth. Thats not BLOOD BOWL, thats ANAL.
Any other team, one not in the running for a Major place and it would have been happy hunting.
Still, Gorgrim failed to do any further damage, every time a player got KO'd I was relieved! I needed this win badly, for my confidence as well as my CR. I feel that I have done little wrong over that last week or so, but by god have I been punished by the dice! Just ask CHRISTER about our game if you don't believe me.....
And before I get the "THIS IS BLOOD BOWL MATE" Repost, I've got that phrase tattoed upon my soul! Even I wouldnt have done what Gorgrim did. I would have eased off on the fouling and gone for the draw at the very least.”
