The first drive was stock standard, with WDD pushing forward. We managed to set up a good defense, and after a 1 die block failed to get a knockdown, we thought we were in with a chance...only to have The Whoberry make the 3+ 2+ dodges needed to get the TD. 1-0.
For our drive, we struggled forward, with WDD gettting a nasty DT/SS catcher on my thrower...darn they move fast. We got rid of the blighter, but failed up field to get the ball to a receiver. (1 and 1 on the RR). Erik recaptured the ball, and made short work of it. 2-0.
Next drive adn this time we had a little more luck, sneaking Paris over the line. 2-1. Then, WDD tried a chain push 1 turner, and only a failed GFI on the line prevented him. Really deserved it too. 2-1, first half.
Now, we had a chance to equalise, but we couldn't hold the ball for long enough. We got tied up near the sideline and a failed GFI meant we couldn't score. The ball spilled well for WDD, and it got thrown back for a 3-1 lead.
We were playing for pride now, not enough time to score twice, so Picnic pressed forward, this time allowing for the WDD's speed. Unfortunatley, The Rack got smacked by the Big Man and the Apoth was asleep....RIP he went. We manage to score, but our heart wasn't in the defense and WDD answered again. 4-2 the final result.
