“Well the game could have ended in a loss had a couple of rolls been different. Despite taking out a couple of players in my opening drive the Norse were still able to come out and equalise in T8 of the second half after my Mummy could not take out the ball carrying Blodger, despite rerolling a 3D block.
All tied away at 1-1 half-time and things were still looking ok. I had the numbers still and thought that with a couple more Cas I should be able to win by sheer weight of numbers. Well that nearly fell in a big hole when a bad kick gave the ball to the Norse who made a strong run down the flank.
Luckily their lack of numbers allowed me to get a 2d Block on the ball carrier and take him down. Had I not another score looked likely for the Norse. From there the match turned into a bit of a bashfest, something that the Undead don't mind too much.
After a couple of turns I was able to recover the ball, form a small cage and work the ball up the field. A few Norse bravely defended the end zone but weight of numbers won through in the end and I was able to get a T15 score for the win.
As an added bonus, my ST6 Mummy scored a Cas in T16 to get enough SPP's for a second skill (the badly needed Block). On the down side, my ST4 Zombie picked up a niggle which didn't regenerate from a brutal Norse block.
It was a bloody game all round with 12 Cas between the two sides. Unfortunately the Undead were unable to add to their Zombie ranks with only a 5/3/0 Cas count! :-)
Thanks for the game BloodReaper!

3 Votes: Orduff - The 2 Cas from 3 Blocks was brutal
2 Votes: BeoWolf Jr - He scored a nice TD as well as getting a Cas and making a pass. A good all-round effort.
1 Vote: Einarr - This guy is scary and he would never seem to go down. I finally took him out of the game midway through the second half with a foul. When he was on the field he was a constant worry.”
