The knights took the field against a rotting team of necromantic freaks, and knew they had to hit the snarling werewolves hard and fast. But it was actually the crowd who came out roaring, stunning half of the undead before the game even started. By the time they had recovered, a boney Wight had been badly hurt, and a shambling zombie knocked out. But out came the werewolves, blasting a path through the knight’s line with little effort. Sir Alfred managed to tackle one of them, after which Squire Newman gave it a swift kick to the nose that knocked it out cold. But the other werewolf continued on to score a relatively easy touchdown.

On the ensuing kickoff, as the knights began moving the ball Fongknuckle began taunting the undead players to “stop ‘itting like ‘ittle gits”. Apparently it upset them so greatly that many of them almost completely ignored the ball carrier and went straight for him! Just when it looked as though the knights would break through the line, Runner Agustin tripped and fell attempting one of his flashy maneuvers and gave the undead time to regroup. Meanwhile, Fongknuckle came to regret his words as a zombie knocked him out for the count. But the knights prevailed, and after a failed pass attempt archer Efrain managed to pick the ball back up and score to end the half.

At the start of the second half the crowd could once again not be contained. The stormed the field a second time, leaving many zombies unable to shamble away unconscious in their wake. With the necromantic team already down players, the knights had little trouble walking the ball in for their second score with plenty of time left in the second half. On the next kicked off they noticed that the zombies and flesh golems on the line were a little too focused on the crowd; probably wondering if they could get away with a mid-game snack. The knights managed to race past the line before the kick hit the ground, protecting where it would shortly land. But they couldn’t get a hold of it, and the nimble werewolves managed to recover the ball. With time running out, the knights weren’t able to catch the sprinting werewolves, who managed to score as time expired. Perhaps next time the knights won’t be so prideful, and will ensure their victory by protecting the ball until time expires.
