Dauphins’ Lineman Nic Bienetconte was the hero of this match as he made two crucial defensive plays to twice thwart KH Alstars irresistible 2nd half assault on the Monamie end-zone. The Alstars blocked brilliantly on their opening drive knocking out 3 Dauphins players but they were unable to make this numerical advantage pay. Sonnecar made a crucial block that K.O’ed KH’s endzone bound Donald with Cocqs cleverly clearing the ball to preserve a 0-0 scoreline.

In the 2nd half Monamie’s best chance broke down when Mercury Maurice dropped a simple catch in the Alstars backfield. KH recovered and spent the next 5 turns besieging the Monamie end-zone. Their superior blocking gave them a numerical advantage of 11-8 yet 2 crucial plays by lineman Bienetconte saved the day. First was a superb goal-line tackle to save a certain touchdown from Donald, the second came after the Dauphins’ desperate clearance was ineffective and KH managed to set up one final attack in the form of a pass. Their target-orc Leon was pressured by Bienetconte into dropping the ball which the Dauphins' lineman then also miraculously recovered to make the game safe.”
