“Man of the Match: ‘Mercury’ Maurice

The Dauphins came out on top in a match characterised by numerous errors committed by both sides. Monamie’s first score came after Mereneau lost the ball in the backfield. Neither side was able to fully recover the ball, but Mereneau atoned for his earlier error as he delivered a superb long pass to the waiting Mercury Maurice in the end zone.

The ‘Skins hit back with a brilliantly conjured piece of last turn razzle-dazzle. Moving the ball with the kind of speed and finesse that only Elves can. Mahogany fired a crisp TD pass to Albranch on the stroke of half-time.

In the second half the impressive young Mercury Maurice again blitzed the ‘Skins from the kick-off causing chaos amongst their backfield. From this Wussington were unable to recover the initiative and Monamie’s solid marking held their passing game in check. Maurice eventually got the ball in his hands and sprinted into the end-zone to put the Dauphins ahead, Wussington were unable to conjure anymore last turn heroics and Monamie took the win.
