“A difficult and closely fought match, with the humans having a slight numerical advantage over the physically stronger orc squad.

The opening went as might be expected, with the orcs employing brute strength to bull their way down field, carefully protecting the ball and opening a quick 1-0 lead.

But the Leaders of Men used their slight speed advantage to open up a passing game, countering what could have been a crushing ground game of the Green Reavers. But a funny thing happened on the way to the match today: the Leaders had modified their armour, reinforcing the helmets to withstand them most punishing blows the Black Orc Reavers could mete out. In fact, Dexter was lost to the Reavers to open the second half, a costly loss that opened up more of the field for the Leader passing game. The human line held, and the score was tied by the end of the half.

The Leaders almost pulled off a second aerial TD to open the second, and with Dexter out, it seemed a sure thing; then Sparky and Poodle tracked down the Human Blitzer, stopping him well short of the line. The ball went to the end zone, and from there neither team could establish control well enough to bring a win.

A traditionally even match, as humans and orcs often are, and hard fought, but the Reaver fans were sorely disappointed by a mere two injuries their team managed, and let their anger be known.

A rematch between the two coaches seems inevitable.”
