Wow - what a crazy game. The dice did not help Snorri's premier destroyers! It was going to be a bloody encounter straight off the bat as the first block pulled in a RIP ! Sadly, it regend but it would not stop there!
After freeing up the block on the DP went to work on trying to clear the pitch of the vicious DP's that can have caused so much damage previously. Ko'd off the skelie - the might blow doing its job. Chainsaw failing to start for the majority of the first half. A missed place blitzer saw a block position him into frezy territory and he joined his fans earlier than expected in the stands. Sadly, in their excitement they badly hurt him and he spent the rest of the game in the cas box sucking down beers.

From this position the orcs began to turn the screws wit the number advantage moving for the 3 turn touch down.... More players began to drop from Snorri's side and the stall was on. With the numbers advtange the orcs plan was just to keep the Undead buried in hte turf and slowly move down the pitch. The dice were huge in this with some 2 die against blocks coming off with out the single skulls coming up when it counted. A mistake from the thrower allowed a mummy blitz on him and surely enough he spilt the beans and the pressure was on. The thrower stood back up after his stunned and alluded the DT mummy with his agi 4 and passed to TheReaper - the star player who caught it in the other mummy tackle zone and gave the forks as he ran off out of range to stall for another turn.

The extra turn saw Nobbla enter the crowd for a stun and another KO'd ghoul. TheReaper then carried over with a huge snarl on his face for the fans. A HUGE KO return saw snorri's deadmen join back in the fray. Injury time meant the green skins had to survive 2 rounds of fouilng and heavy hitting. Delamarr was watching the play a little too closely and ended up with a gouged eye. We wont be seeing him next game. The Ref did not do the same with variour fouls going un noticed underneath the ref's eyes.

The 2nd half saw the undead smash the hell outta the orcs. BH after BH the orcs went for early beers thinking it was all sealed up. The only damage the orcs gave was a BH regened again on one of the lethal mummies. The orcs switched from flank to flank covering the pitch to ensure the undead could not sneak down teh side. Many KO's again on the undead but nothing worthy of a cas it would seem and the number were wittling on both sides. Silent blizzard saw what would be a QB pocket, but sadly for him a big BORC come stomping down the field to show him it wasnt safe. Without block he went to return the favour and skulls came up and that was that for the undead team. The orcs moved in an around the ball. An un-needed attempt on the ball saw it come free for one last ditch effort for the undead. They swept in, picked up the ball, and failed the pass.

That was that 1-0 to the DeltaBrotherhood. Their first win in Conf after string of close draws.

BOL in the rest of the season Snorri.

It was a big one, and worthy of their first loss in 18 games. The lads didn't do badly and they kept hanging in their in the first half, despite getting blown away at the whistle and managed to put alot of pressure on the orcs. Unfortunately they didn't manage anything when it counted. Some handy blocking (1d and 2d against blocks all over the park!) kept getting the orcs out of trouble and we missed a few blitz chances at the ball carrier. They kept at it though and finally nailed that slippery wooza that dubiously calls himself an orc, only to watch some other elves...err orcs spoil it and make all the big moves at the right moment late in the half.

Second half, and the gameplan went pretty much to script. They seemed to be hitting their prem stride again....until the last three turns came along (must have gotten lazy the buggers!). All three turns we had brilliant, then good then so-so chances to wrap up what should have been a fairly good draw, but they sploshed every opportunity.

And so that pretty much summed up the game. Orcs made enough of their big moments and the undies missed every one of theirs. Outside of that it was a very tight and fairly gripping affair.

Good win by the orcs. We'll have to go back and get some kinks out of these old bones before we go on with the season!
