“The Gators out of the Swamp and in Dolphins Stadium as the Orange Bowl has officially been retired. The Gators proved their worth in one of Colleges loudest crowds.

Coming into South Florida their hopes were high, and their focus higher. After holding Miami to 0 points in the first half, it looked as if this game was over, but Miami had other plans.

Coming on to the field in the second half Miami looked to capitalize on its running game. While Running Back Charlie Jones was stuffed at the line, Kyle Wright found Darnell Jenkins and tossed the ball for a reverse that was good for 6. Now Miami with its QB back on target, looked to make this one theirs.

Late in the 4th, Miami saw weakness in Florida's pocket. Using an outside blitz, Miami was able to force a fumble. Now with the ball in Kyle Wright's hands once again, Miami looked to take this one into OT. But the Gator's were to savvy for this spread offense. Louis Murphy, showing the poise of an NFL player, read the line too well and picked the would be TD, returning it to end the game 20-7.”
