“We receive and without yet looking at the ball we charge in and take down the treeman so that 'boot specialist' Chimp can move in to remove him from the game, but the ref spots his leering grin and sends him off instead!!

We spend several turns attempting to pick up the ball (oh you clumsy centaurs) and hitting elves, though without any result. Eventually the elves show us how it's done, grabbing the ball despite it being beside 4 of my players at the start of their turn, and passing to a waiting wardancer who goes for it twice (IN THE BLIZZARD!) with no rerolls to score the opening TD! Amazing move and well executed- the elvish fans go crazy!

This time our centaur can pick up the ball and we start a steady push forwards with all our players, eventually nipping through a break in the line with the ball and rushing in the equaliser! The elves have 2 turns to attempt a speedy TD. They set up but then the dwarves catch them with a BLITZ! However the woodies react well, grabbing the ball and passing it upfield into a group of elves- we pile in loads of players but it means nothing as the elves dodge, pass, and dodge again to get another good TD!

The elves start off the second half with a long pass upfield that misses the catcher. We charge in players to cover him but he still dodges through with ease to score and make it 3-1! A centaur pickup and steady push upfield lets us score on turn 6, leaving 2 turns to go each and the score 3-2 for the elves, can we get another? It seems unlikely!

We try and push in on their thrower while covering every player pushed through but it means nothing to the agile elves who make the throw and dodge away for another touchdown, sealing the game at 4-2!
