It was always going to be a long game for the Fraudsters. Beginning the game with only 10, William Anthony Lloyd took it upon himself to right the register in the first turn of the game, sticking his fist through poor young Joe Hurler's facemask.

However, the respite for the Gangsters was short with Ken Lay being fouled off the pitch in the very next turn. However, this only hastened the feet of the elves who run, spun and passed their way into their first touchdown. 1-0 Fraudsters.

A very promising blitz from the gangsters turns sour with a dropped catch from Scott Sulivan putting the Frausters on the back foot and allowing 'Flash' to sneak over in the corner, narrowly avoiding the wrath of the Drow.

Again, the frausters lined themselves up with fewer numbers, but stronger will than their pathetic human opponents. Their contempt was palpable as they raced downfield, slicing through the human defence like elven knives through flimsy human shields. However, their numbers told and their cage was breached, the ball falling into the corrupt hands of men once more, and, despite the complete lack of skill displayed by the mortals as they fumbbled the ball down the field, they were still able to cross the line before the half.

The appauling standard of the human play, combined with the absense of the Twahnlow award winning Chris Skase had wipped the crowd into a frenzy. The Fraudsters fans are not used to losing, and especially not to a messy bunch of humans of all things. Their rage boiled over when, after the brutal slaying of the retirees' nest egg, a frauster tradition at home game half time shows, the human half time entertainment came on. It seemed that the humans decided that nicky webster was the kind of thing that the elf hoards would appreciate, they were mistaken. Gangsters of all shapes and sizes took to the field to chase the abomination off into the shrubbery, which reports indicate she has not yet emerged from. There were many unfortunates overcome by the marauding fraudsters, and the clean up took sometime, delaying the game for 4 turns.

It was, however, enough time for the humans to run in another touchdown, which could prove vital in the quest to stay in the premier league.

It was a hard game, one that the elves did not expect to win, but the result was still dissapointing for the elves who had not yet tasted defeat.

However, there is only one thing worse than a Gangster, and thats a pissed off gangster. Woe be those who stand in their way.

In the aftermath, a new Fraudster joined the fray. After watching the carnage, he came down to the side line, breaking 4 or 5 limbs in the process. He expressed his dissapointment at the pathetic elf performance and offered to lead them in their quest to stay in the premier league. His offer was accepted and the Fraudsters welcome their newest member, Witch Elf, Nick Leeson.

Having finished last Season in 4th place, despite early hope that the Title might be coming to Carlton, United were eager to kick off the new Season and prove themselves the true Title contenders that they knew they were. League Newcomers, Corporate Fraud Chaingang, were undermanned and underskilled in this, their first Premiership game, and Mr. could not help but be confident...

Kicking off was exactly how their game started, the ball sailing square into Chaingang backfield. The Offseason has been too long for both teams it seemed, the lack of competition making the players soft, as the match began with a flurry of laden stretchers being taken from the field. Joe Hurler, Davros Hugz, and Kenneth Lay would take no further part in this game.

Despite their lack in numbers, the Chain Gang gave United and early scare, Scott Sullivan running the ball home with lightning speed and precision. 1-0 Chain Gang.

The early casualties to Carlton had taken their toll, but our boys were still able to field a full squad whereas the Elves had been reduced to only 9. Fired up by their early score, Corporate Fraud charged forward as they kicked the ball wide. Their numbers amassed on the right flank and things looked grim for Carlton. Alas for the Elves, the ball had been kicked too wide and the resulting Touchback enabled Gordon Lau to rumble up the now exposed left wing. With a good spread of players protecting him, he had no trouble equalising.

Again on the attack, Chain Gang once more looked to their Blitzer to make the play. Crashing through the lines, he sprinted for the zone with a number of comrades. Turning in mid stride to receive the pass, his heart sank. Duke Snakefield, with equal grace and power, has forged his way to the thrower and sacked him hard. Fraud were left horribly weakened by the distance between their players as Carlton swarmed around the ball. With superior numbers and strength, there was no stopping the inevitable as, in spite of a fierce defensive effort, Snakefield walked Carlton's second overthe line. 2-1 Carlton at Half time.

A riot broker out during the break as Duke Snakefield made a wry comment to the Boundary Reporter about his suspected reasons for the Elves' starring "Shemale", Christopher Skase's, absense from the field.
The second term was half over by the time play resumed...

Fearful of the Elves' agility, and beginning to suffer from casualties themselves, Carlton would attempt a structured attack in the second half, forced as they were to field all four of their catchers. With too many attacking options and too many players generally, it was no big surprise for anyone when Bazman received a pass deep in the enemy half and ran the ball, once more, over that line.

Carlton's lead seemed unassailable as the second half drew to a close, and indeed it was. The match would end, 3-1 to Carlton. A great start to the Title campaign for United.

Great effort Bornsey. You went in completely outclassed and made a real show of it. Good luck with the rest of the season! :)
