The Juggernauts were huge underdogs in this match (27 of my 305 TR was in cash, my opponent's 352 TR was all SPP, players, etc so I was effectively down 75 TR and 38 Str) but were denied even a chance of competing in the first half when they failed to pick up the ball on 5 occasions (that is 10 x 3+ rolls) and the Tyrants were eventually able to steal the ball and score in defence.
On the next kickoff, the Tyrants killed the ref so the Juggernauts fouled pre-emptively, getting rid of the opponent's Ogre for the loss of their Hobgoblin Dirty Player with the return foul.
The Tyrants started with the ball in the second half, and the Juggernauts stole the ball and delayed scoring only to have the Tyrants make their dodges, steal the ball and send it up the other end for a winning score.

Well it really was a rape job in the first half. I started with the ball, and survived the fireball, but not the 5 failed attempts to pick up the ball. Instead of being 1-0 up at the half (hopefully) it was 0-1 down.
In the second half, the delay cost me the game, but I didn't want to play overtime anyway with his Dirty Player around and my apothecary gone (I used it on a BH Bull Centaur in the first half to try for a win).
So I lost to a good coach, a much better team, and some crappy crappy rolls in the first half. My opponent complained about my armour rolls and KOing his players, but that did not decide the half so much as my failed 5 attempts to pick up the ball.
Second half, I could have scored to tie the scores but I always lose in overtime anyway even if the scores are tied as I can't win the 4+ roll (3 times in a row I have failed the 4+ Overtime tiebreaker) and with no apoth, I would much rather have my decent remaining players alive to play more open matches.
