“Match started off on the rough side, 2 Treemen off slumbering in the woods and opponent got the blitz.

Over the next several rounds Fairies flew to the bench as they bravely tried to recapture the ball. Things were looking pretty grim as the chainsaws continued to decimate their ranks. Horribly outnumbered, the Fairies were unable to prevent Hillendale from stalling most of the first half.

Second half was little better as the Fairies armor continued to draw all the POWS that the Treemen could not seem to roll. At one time 3 Treemen and a brownie were all that remained.

The Fairies had a chance to tie the game after a halfling tripped and fumbled but failed to get out of their blitz range. Hillendale managed to grab the ball back and score in their turn 8 to set the score at 2-0. A last turn throw teammate TD was prevented by a brilliant kick in the corner of the pitch.

Highlight of the game for the Fairies – NO lasting casualties – they all survived to play another day.
