“In the opening drive it looked like a good match, with some ball control issues for the Ronin Circle that shortly faded away. The Blackstone Legion looked initially to have the upper hand, rolling up one side of the Circle's front line. However the Circle struck back hard, taking out key people to make a sideline run up toward the end zone. Pathos of the Legion tried to stop them, but Magnificent Fisher took out Pathos instead and went on to score. Ronin Circle had timed and placed the kickoff perfectly, they blitzed and managed to receive the ball! The Legion tried to halt their advance but were woefully out of position and their blocking was poor. Swoop scored in short order. The Legion tried to put together a last minute drive but had trouble hanging on to the ball and tuned it over to the Circle. A last minute shove had the fans throwing the ball back into play, well within reach of the open Kherath, but the end zone was barely beyond the top speed of the young Wight before time would expire.
The second half started with a more determined Legion receiving the ball. The Legion dominated the center of the field, but several Circle players made it around one side to threaten Pathos. However Pathos managed to dodge the rush of players and slip toward the sideline where he successfully connected with a pass to Kherath down field who managed to run the ball in. After the kickoff things looked grim for the Legion. The Circle had plowed a hole down one sideline and was quickly advancing down the fiend. The Legion quickly rallied and cut off the drive from the rest of the Ronin Circle, and surrounded them. The Circle tried to break out, but was repelled and then forced to turn over the ball to Pathos who began to cross to the opposite side line. As Pathos ran down field Wardog sprinted over to try to tackle the elusive Pathos and merely pushed him backwards. Pathos cut across the center of the field again, only to have several Circle players surround him and then have Wardog come over and take him down, letting the ball fall behind both of them. As time wound down, Perrin charged forward, shoved Swoop out of the way, made a daring snatch of the ball, deftly dodged away and sprinted for a touchdown in the last seconds to tie the game. ”
