Without a doubt one of the worst coaches we ever faced. Opponent had 8 blodgers on the field...including MB, AG 4, ST 4 and numerous other skills and lots of re-rolls. We had 11 players with only 2 skills on entire team. In addition, opponent got very lucky with early blocks, removing a lot of our players from the field. However, up 1-0, and only being able to put 5 elves on the field for the next drive, we kicked off, and the amazon ball carrier ran up to the elves...the other zons scattered, so we had a 2d block and still scored.
Once down 2-0, the zons figured, "screw this" and just fouled every turn...even when we got the ball again from their unprotected ballcarrier and had a wide open receiver...the zons did not mark him...instead fouling again (for a RIP). Apoth saved the rip, but then a niggling injury on a block followed by another foul (now down 3-0).
Gratz to our opponent...you are able to do damage to an opponent when you ignore the ball and have a vastly superior team. However, your players should rebel against such crappy coaching.”
“I always find it amazing when someone complains about fouling after the begin the tirade.
I started this match thinking, aha, a nice clean game. Azure started the fouling including taking out 2 of my players early doors.
Its when i start fouling back that he has the problems.
What Azure fails to mention is the 2 blitzes, the numerous failed passes after getting my players in position for the score, the numerous pows on my blodgers, whereas i could bearly touch his 1 blodger.
i was trying to play the ball, just everytime i did, i lost it.
I fouled 1st half for numerical advantage.
The foul on turn 11 was to remove one of his players near the ball.
Being honest, i play this game for fun and if a coach starts a fouling war, i'll finish it.
Don't moan about being fouled when you start the fouling.
BTW, the player that was wide open, i had already used my blitz and there was no point marking him as he was ag5 and scored before after i set up a defence on him.
Azure played the game well and scored some nice td's, something i was unable to do.
Well done and good luck in the following rounds”
