“I wont bother writing my own report as that sums it up well.
That stall really sickened me too, but with my DP off already i couldnt prompt you to score :(
7 MB on the pitch and only 1 cas didnt help my cause overall though it has to be said. This team only scores twice when most of the opposition are in Hospital!
“The last game of the season for Sylvania Villa was a much anticipated one. Had you told Sylvania at the beginning of the season that they would have one loss at the final game of the season they'd have been overjoyed.
But several ties during games that should have been won made their season of ties not what they would have hoped.
In their last game vs the powerful Mummywell FC they would be forced to do something that made their empty stomachs turn... fight for their life but not necessarily play for a win...
Captain Gabor Killally was sickened! He screamed at the coaches and his teammates but in the end he knew what must be done. Sylvania would attempt to secure a tie in an effort to take an attempt at the Premiere again in Season 4.
The first half would go as Sylvania had expected. Slow play and attack Ramtut if he popped out his head. Ramtut obliged early in the half and was fouled off for his troubles. Sylvania would attempt to cage in Mummywell with little success and give up a T8 score after 2 GFI's.
With minimal damage received Sylvania knew what needed to be done. Scoring really wasn't a concern in their minds since Ramtut was busy signing autographs and failed to make the start of the second half...
How fast to score was the issue. Mummywell being the studs that they are would be difficult to stop and Sylvania needed to delay as long as possible. Sylvania started removing skeletons that were wandering about. And slowly moved towards the Mummywell goal line.
And then it happened... Jim 'Bonesaw' Paterson tripped while attempting a Blitz. Well Sylvania had been watching him all game waiting for the chance to kick him and now they had their chance. With a swift boot to the head Jim was gone. And Sylvania now had to ask themselves if they should stall?
Oh the misery... deplorable tactics... but this was war and things like this must be done. And stalling they did.
Unfortunately for Mummywell it appears that their other sympathetic Blitz-ra felt inclined to trip on a blitz as well giving Sylvania a chance to drag out their score even longer.
When Sylvania waltzed into the end zone Mummywell was all but done and the game finished a tie.
Definitely not how I would have wanted to play the game Grit. With Ramtut out there and my shot at a title out of reach I had little choice but to save myself from relegation.
GG and we look forward to seeing Mummywell next season.”
