“It's our squig herders vs Gary_Gygax's TTM-ensemble of horrors!
They start things off with a blitz and throw a horror down field to right beside where their kick is landing (by our endzone!) where he proves a total thorn in my side and we spend several turns trying to get the ball and get rid of the little tyke without any luck- eventually he both-downs on his blitz and seriously injures himself! We push up one side while on the other a curious play takes place with a firewyrm chasing a lone gobbo herder right out of the pitch in fear!

There's desperate & quite effective defending coming from the horrors but we regain the ball several times and haven't taken many casualties (except from a hungry squig) and are able to push right on through to score on our last turn.

But the horrors have something hidden up their sleeve! A touchback gives them a nice TTM chance and they seize it, succesfully throwing a horror down field who scatters nicely and can waltz in the equalising touchdown!

Fortunately our bribed ref then wades in banning both horror secret weapons from the game!

The second half starts off with the horrors holding the ball and they play quite defensively, caging up on one side of the middle- it's working extremely well as their blocking pays off filling up our cas box and leaving the pitch decidedly sparse looking! We manage to remove 3 horrors in one turn though which almost evens out the numbers. The horrors then go for a nice hand-off and toss attempt that would surely have left me in trouble, but fortunately they can only fumble the horror helplessly to the ground! We grab the ball and run upfield where numbers being even and OFAB rolls being ludicrously kind to me this half it looks like we must surely score. The horrors go for a crazy last turn blitz into our cage and roll 1dice - PUSH : they must push me into the endzone with that- Reroll: pow! He's down! The ball is thrown back by the crowd and ends up further along the horror endzone, unluckily for them, and we're able to blitz through and grab the ball to score the winning TD in the dying seconds of the game!
