“A game where teams were haunted by streaks of bad luck ended fittingly with a 1-1 draw.
Gold Dragons took an early lead on a 2-turn TD highlighted by a long bomb from Hathus Rainbow into the hands of Jeremiah Simeon who was waiting in the endzone for the pass. The Dragons then managed to prevent the Orkcrushers from scoring and the first half ended with the high elves holding a 1-score lead.
An already scrappy game turned even scrappier in the second half. The Orkcrushers could advance into elven territory but lost the ball on a well-executed blitz. Having the opportunity to go ahead by two scores, the Dragons cleared a path for the ball carrier and had several targets downfield. However, a failed dodge left the ball on the ground and it was all too easy for Thrugog Greenhobbit to score the equaliser.
With 3 turns remaining, the Gold Dragons did get a shot at a late TD but they came up short after yet another failed dodge.
All in all two many 1's, double skulls on both sides but a fun game nevertheless!”
