honor or blood from the Dauphins”
In his post-match press conference coach Rockie mused "Based on the overall play the final score was probably a fair reflection, We didn't do much wrong out there today, it's just that the few errors we did make cost us the win. That's something we must address."
The Dauphins began brightly on defense and at one point looked to have blunted the Clans opening attack. However in a great display of elf-ball saw Azephal launch a scintillating counter-attack which led to a classy TD pass to Hell on Feet
At this point the ferment in the stands boiled over into a pitch invasion. However if the fans of the Dark Elves were looking to steal an advantage for their team it rebounded badly as the Clans defensive set-up was ruined, the Dauphins made a sterling effort to get to the endzone but Quiiqe dropped an easy catch that would have led to a sure fire touchdown, adding fuel to the recent criticism of his ball handling skills.
However a bigger story was to be found off the pitch, with both sets of fans seemingly intent on causing more carnage in the stands than they saw on the pitch. At the opening of the second half rioters managed to scramble onto the pitch and cause utter mayhem. This time Monamie capitalised and the Dauphins moved the ball swiftly into the opposition end-zone with Offerdahl sprinting over for a score.
From the resulting kick-off the Dauphin defense showed, yet again, admirable grit in the face of a spirited opponent. They eventually managed to cause a turnover to halt the resulting drive. Monamie got bodies around the ball and held on for the draw.”
