It actually took quite a long time before any injuries showed. I think by turn 4, on Bonobos first offense after my 1-0. I made 2 cas the same turn and felt suddenly very confident, as his apo failed too.
On his turn after that he made 2 cas and a KO! And my apo failed. Arr! Game on again!
He pressed on for a TD, but my ogre made a great effort, tieing up 4 players and opening up for the ball. His star blitzer made a risky blitz, dodging past my Dtackle but made it into 1-1.
We were down on numbers now and went up one side to score. A massive wall of players boxed us in, and even got to the ballcarrier. I went back to the LoS, cleared out a player and let Grumblemeyer take the ball deep into the other side. Too far away to be blitzed, but marked by a SF blitzer, he bashed that bastard down for another cas and ran in 2-1 by half time.
9 Composers vs 10 for second half. Their offense was very agressive, running the ball into a small cage on my side of the field. I had problems to get around him, but my catchers made some dodges to run around his screen and blitz the catcher. POW! Another cas!
They reclaimed the ball next turn and made sure it was a quick TD. 2-2 with 5 turns left.
Both my Ko came back, and my cas had been racking up, 10 vs 9 in my favour now. In my first turn 2 opposing players went out. I played it slow and safe, but always vary of their star 7448 blitzer with strip ball. Just when I decided to go for it my catcher dropped the hand off! Luckily he didnt manage to pick it up and I ran away again. His last turn got a strip ball 2d blitz on me after some wicked dodgeing, but pow/skull! Phew! I needed only to dodge for the victory last turn, and Gumberaber made it!
This was tense! And violent. Oh so violent. The mighty de von Ausfern felled! Oh! By a measly thrower!”
